Mix a Gin Canary

The Canaries love to get together and share stories over a cocktail or three. Their favorite elixir is whiskey, but on special occasions, they adore this spicy, sweet concoction that takes after the band that invented it.

2 ounces or so of gin

1 ounce, give or take, fresh grapefruit juice

1/2 ounce pureed ginger or just put a whole root in there

Top off with club soda (or Ginger Beer for an extra kick)

Shake or stir, serve over ice.

Garnish with a cherry and a lime slice

Repeat until the pain is gone!

Time to Dance!

Time to hit the floor! Not sure how? We've got you covered.  The Gin Canaries don't care if you have a partner or if you have 2 left feet. All we care about is that you have fun. But, if you want to hit the floor, here are a few videos to get you started.

If you search the interwebs for Lindy Hop, East Coast Swing, Balboa, and the Charleston, you'll find a ton of tutorials that will give you the confidence you need to get up and ask someone "Care to dance?".
